Does all wallpaper need paste?
Many modern wallpapers comes “pre-pasted.” This means that the wallpaper adhesive is already applied to the back and the paper only needs to be soaked in water to activate the paste. However, some papers still come the old-fashioned way – without the paste.
Does vinyl wallpaper need paste?
If you are working with the Vinyl Wallpaper on Paper Base you will need to apply the paste to the wallpaper and to the wall. When gluing, avoid getting the glue on the front side of the strip.
How do you stick wallpaper to a wall without paste?

Apply double-sided tape on top of the painter’s tape. This provides a barrier between the double sided tape and the wall, so that removing it will not damage the wall later on. If you stick the double sided tape directly onto the wall, it will damage it when you pull it off.
Do I need glue for wallpaper?
